Alberta offers various tax incentives for commercial and agricultural solar power installations. Here are some of the key incentives available:
Solar Investment Tax Credit (ITC): Provides a 20%-30% tax credit on eligible solar installation costs, making solar energy more accessible and affordable for Alberta's agricultural and business sectors.
These incentives are designed to encourage the adoption of solar energy solutions, leading to long-term operational savings and energy independence for businesses and farms in Alberta.
Modern panels are tested for hail. They can withstand an incredible beating in hailstorms. For example, during the brutal hailstorms in 2020 zero (thats right zero!) panel insurance claims were filed. They are built to withstand our tough weather here in Alberta.
Yes they will! Typically Alberta homeowners see an increase between 4 - 6% in home value.
Solar panels are warrantied for 25 years and are expected to outperform that warranty. With no moving parts, a 30+ year life cycle is generally expected.
